Pokémon: Lucario and the Mystery of Mew: Possible Artwork & Description

From PokéBeach:

Lucario and the Mystery of MewLucario and the Mystery of Mew - English Description and Possible Movie Artwork - We have obtained the English movie description and (possible) artwork for Lucario and the Mystery of Mew, which gives us some of the English names of terms in the movie - Aura Guardian (originally Hero of the Wave - this might be Lucario's official Pokemon type, like how Combusken is the young fowl Pokemon), Cameran Palace (originally Aldoran Castle), Tree of Beginning (originally Tree of World's Beginning, or something like that). I am not quite sure if this artwork is for the movie or for some other promotional celebrating the movie, but I guess we will find out soon. I have already seen three pieces of artwork for the movie - one with Regirock, Regice, and Registeel, the one to the right, and one with Lucario and Aaron, so it is sort of up in the air as to which will be the one. The one to the right does not use the same blue and pink logo as the other two posters, which is why I think it is for some sort of promotional for the movie (like a comic). Also, as we said a while ago, the movie will come out in America in the summer on DVD.

Ash and his companions take a trip down to Cameran Palace to take part in the annual Aura Guardian Tournament. But when Ash picks up the Staff of the Guardian, the Aura Pokemon, Lucario, mysteriously appears... demanding to know where the REAL hero is! Meanwhile, Pikachu goes missing, and the Queen orders a search that leads our heroes to 'The Tree of Beginning!' How will Lucario and Ash overcome their differences to save the legendary Mew, Pikachu and the tree?

Movie Release Date Questionable

An Australian DVD Web site has listed the release date and has posted the DVD cover art for the eighth Pokémon movie, Lucario and the Mystery of Mew. Pokémon USA, Inc.The movie will be released on PAL Region 4 DVD August 16, 2006. Hopefully information on a North American release date will be announced soon.

Lucario and the Mystery of Mew (Japanese: ミュウと波導の勇者 ルカリオ Mew to Hadō no Yūsha Lucario) is the third Pocket Monsters Advanced Generation movie, and 8th of all Pokémon movies. Premiering in Japan on July 16, 2005, it introduced four new Generation IV Pokémon, Lucario, Bonsly, Manene and Manyula. As indicated by the title, Mew plays a large part, supplementing its appearance in Mewtwo Strikes Back. Other than Lucario whose role is most significant, Regice, Regirock and Registeel are three more main Pokémon characters.

Lucario's trainer, Aaron, was Lucario's friend, though Lucario saw himself as Aaron's servant. When Aaron was about to save the the Tree of the world's beggining, he trapped Lucario in his rod.

Names Revealed

Well thanks to our friends over at Serebii.net, we have learned that at Journey Across America this weekend,Mime Jr. the US names for Manyula & Manene were revealed by some officials and that merchandise for these Pokémon were sold during the event.

Although no official word has come out yet, we are confident that these are accurate, but there is no way to tell until Nintendo comes out and says it. Here they are:
  • Manyula, the evolution of Sneasel is now called: Weavile
  • Manene, the pre-evolution of Mr. Mime is now called: Mime Jr.

Stay tuned here for more info and the official release reports as they become available.

Stalling

Last year at PokéPark, they allowed you to download a special game onto your DS temporarily where you fished for Water Pokémon: PokéPark Fishing Rally. Well this year, since PokéPark is travelling through Asia at the moment, they are going to bring another game, it is currently in development and not much is known about it except it appears to be a Multiplayer game where you see which one of you can get to the goal first, without being hit by Blastoise's Hydro Cannon which will stop you and push you back. There are likely to be some changes before the general public at PokéPark can obtain this game, and it is possible that it isnt a downloadable DS game, but just an attracton, but here's a picture:

U Suck Pokémon USA! We like Japan better anyways!

Just recieved an email message from the one and only Veronica Taylor (Ash's and May's voice actor on the Pokémon series) who just came across some interesting info regarding the next season of the Pokémon anime. Appearently, Cartoon Network is talking with Pokémon USA to accquire the series next season. Save the Voice Actors and Pokemon DubShe, and others who saw and hated the special aired last saturday, have grave concerns regarding the production and airing of this unacceptable remake of our favorite show.

To show how you feel about the sub-standard performance of the cast last Saturday, Veronica suggests you email the CN execs your concerns:
I have just received information that needs to get out to as many people as possible right away. If it's not too much trouble, could you forward this? Thanks!!!!

Here is the email and some addresses you can forward. please sign your own name to it as well.
At this moment Cartoon Network is talking with Pokémon USA and Nintendo about negotiating a deal for next season. Whether they know that the show they potentially acquire is a very badly done 'fake' is unknown. We need as many people as possible to flood them with emails letting them know that the 'special' we all saw on Saturday was beyond unacceptable. The actors, other than being lackluster and unable to fit the flap, lacked any emotion or character. The script was amateurish and flat. There was no direction. The Pokemon themselves all sounded incredibly different from the original show and video games. It was more violent than any other Pokemon episode has ever been. It was in no way up to the standards which have been set over the past eight years by 4kids, Nintendo and the WB. Are we all expected to simply sit by as Pokémon USA lies to everyone, saying the show will be "exactly the same", even though they have replaced every single element? We have now seen, through the fiasco which was the 10th anniversary special, that this is far from the truth. Please send emails immediately to the two executives at Turner Network (below) and warn them before they make a mistake they will certainly regret for a very long time. Bring Pokemon back to 4kids before it's too late.
Thank you in advance!
Sincerely,
Forward your Email to:
